- What is Cosso?
- Cosso is a voice-to-text app for Mac and Windows. You press a shortcut, speak, and it types the text wherever your cursor is. Speech recognition runs on your computer, so dictation is free and works offline; optional AI editing cleans up the text.
- Does it work in any app?
- Anywhere you can type: Gmail, Outlook, WhatsApp, Word, Google Docs, browsers, your CRM.
- Mac or Windows?
- Both. Same app, same features. The download button picks the right one for your computer.
- Will it change what I meant?
- It applies the corrections you speak and fixes spelling and punctuation. It's instructed not to add greetings, prices or facts you didn't say, and it keeps to that in our tests.
- Which languages?
- Dictation works in 99 languages. AI editing rules and industry vocabularies are tuned for English and Turkish today.
- Do we need a demo to start as a team?
- No. Create the team in the app and invite people by email. Write to us if you need an invoice or are rolling out to a large team.
- Does it need the internet?
- Only for AI editing. Dictation runs offline once the speech model has downloaded.
- How is it different from built-in dictation?
- macOS Dictation and Windows voice typing write down your words as they are. Cosso also removes ums and restarts, applies corrections like "no wait", formats numbers and lists, and spells the terms of your field. The same shortcut works in every app on both systems.
- How is it different from Wispr Flow?
- Wispr Flow sends your voice to the cloud to recognize it. Cosso recognizes speech on your computer, so dictation is free, works offline and your audio is never uploaded. Only AI editing goes online, and you can turn it off.
